‘5-0’ – Former Liverpool Star Make Bold Man Utd Scoreline Prediction

Jose Enrique, a former defender for Liverpool, has predicted that Jurgen Klopp’s team will dominate the forthcoming FA Cup matchup against Manchester United.

Enrique, a player for Liverpool from 2011 to 2016, believes his old team will defeat Erik ten Hag’s team 5-0 on Sunday. The Reds is presently in second place in the Premier League standings, having previously won the Carabao Cup in February. United is currently in sixth place, with the FA Cup being their only realistic opportunity to win a trophy this season.

The former Reds defender said the following on the podcast – The Counter Attack: “I don’t fancy Manchester United to get a result on Sunday. Obviously when I was at Liverpool I didn’t get to experience them being this superior to Manchester United – it was more of a 50/50 when I played and sometimes United were the better team.

“This is still a difficult game for Liverpool, but I really think they are going to win. Manchester United are actually playing worse at Old Trafford than when they play away from home – it’s not the same as it used to be when I was playing. I’d love Liverpool to pick up a really big win here – I’m going to go with 5-0 to them. They’re scoring so many goals at the moment and their attack is as good as it’s been all season. I’d love a big result like that – firstly for Liverpool but also for Jurgen Klopp.”

The Red Devils and Liverpool drew 0-0 at Anfield in December of 2023–24, their first meeting of the season. This was a sharp contrast to their March 2023 7–0 victory for Klopp’s team.

Liverpool will enjoy a much-needed break during the international break after their match on Sunday in the FA Cup. Following this, Klopp will be hoping that he can get many important first-team players back from injury, including Ryan Gravenberch, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Curtis Jones.
