2023: Wike Drums Support For Obi, Makes Firm Promise [VIDEO]

On Thursday, the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, vowed to provide logistical support for Peter Obi’s presidential campaign on behalf of the Labour Party (LP).

Wike, who called Obi “a very humble man,” claimed that he possesses the skills necessary to lead Nigeria.

At the inauguration of the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover in Port Harcourt, the state capital, the governor of Rivers informed the former governor of Anambra state of this.

The governor described Obi as a “very humble man,” a former governor, and a presidential candidate. We will support him logistically as the state government for his campaigns as well.

“Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you,” Wike told Obi.

Obi was in Port Harcourt to inaugurate the current administration’s ninth flyover with his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.

Wike, along with the other G-5 governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have been demanding for the resignation of Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, the party’s national leader.

They are now at odds with Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s nominee for president, as a result of this.
