2023 Live Updates: Obi Votes In Agulu, I Am Confident, -Tinubu, BVA Disappoints Wike, Wife

Our 2023 live updates shows that it is a mixed bag of experiences for voters from the highest to the lowest from different parts of the country.

Whereas Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was able to vote in his native Agulu in Anambra State, for Governor Nyesom Wike and his wife, Suzzet Wike, they could not, as the Bimodal Voter Accreditation (BVA) System failed to recognize the thumb print of face of Mrs Wike.

The sad situation could not be saved by the Presiding Officer, Agatha Abiokun despite spirted efforts.

“We are highly dissapoitted. INEC told us they were ready for the election and that BVAS are working.

“You can see the crowd here I don’t think that most people will be allowed to vote with slow working of the BVAS.

“I have stayed about 25 minutes here and I was told to go and come back that they will rectify the BVAS”, a frustrated Wike said.

I Am Confident, I Have Worked Very Hard For Victory –  Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has declared his optimism at emerging victorious after today’s votes’ count.

Tinubu stated so after casting his vote at Polling unit 085, ward 3, Alausa, Ikeja in Lagos State.

“I am very confident. I worked hard for it. I traverse the country sometimes four times and attended town hall meetings and various interest groups. I have attended to their request and I have worked hard than any other candidate in this country. I believe Nigeria will reward me, they will reward my hard work”.

Yayi Bemoans Misplacement Of BCA

Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi,, who is contesting for an Ogun West Senatorial Seat, has lamented what he described as the misplacement of the BVA machine and their inability to do the work for the day.

Adeola, currently represents Lagos West at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, and  and just after casting his vote at ward 1, unit 9, Pahayi, Ilaro, Ogun state, he spoke to journalists about his observations, which also include that there was inadequate presence of adhoc staff to do the job.
