Hoodlums have encroached on the Adejare Polling Unit in Ilasa, Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State in large numbers in an effort to scatter voters who were waiting for officials and ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to start voting for the ongoing governorship and state assembly election.

Many people were left stuck until the hoodlums in the adjacent street broke into the polling unit with daggers and other sharp items to disperse them, according to an eyewitness, Arome Solomon, who reported that INEC officials were nowhere to be located as of 10:12 am.
