Yul Edochie is a popular Nollywood actor whom many script writers and producers have used to shed light on may practices, either acclaiming or slamming them.

But this time round, he is not in an acting but real mode: he has come down heavily on the fans of two musical acts, Davido and Burna Boy, asking them to shun frivolities at a time of serious national entanglements.

Yul voiced his stance via a tweet thus:
‘’This is the time to tackle the menacing issue of child molestation in our country. This is what we all should be tweeting about, not Davido & Burna boy fighting in Ghana. Na so una go take lead Nigeria if handed over to you?? Wake up, Nigerian youths.’’

Yul’s reaction is coming on the heels of news that Davido and Burna Boy engaged each other in fisticuffs Sunday night at a club house in Ghana, an incident that has seen fans from opposing camps go for one another’s jugular

The actual cause of the fight, according to ghanaweb,  is not known but celebrity producer, Samklef, seems to have an insider’s story of what happened in the club before the fight.

The platform quotes Samklef as saying in a recent tweet that the Davido’s boys had tried stopping Burna Boy from entering a section of the club:

‘’I just confirmed that Na as I post am Na him e take happen for Ghana. From a reliable source. As burna boy enter the club the place wey he dey go he no know say Davido Dey there.

“As he reach there Davido boys start to disturb burnaboy. Na so violence start!’’

(What I said earlier was the truth. And it is from a reliable source. As soon as Burna Boy entered the club, he was prevented from accessing a section of the club where Davido was. That was how violence started). Samklef revealed.

Apparently, still reeling from the faceoff, Davido, on Monday reportedly threatened to quit music:

“I go leave this music for una” Davido reportedly tweeted.

The rivalry between the two is an open secret in Nigeria’s entertainment circles, and this is believed to have worsened immediately Burna Boy got nominated for a Grammy award for Best World Music Album.
