VIDEO: Moment Kovacic Appears To Celebrate Cole Palmer’s Stoppage-Time Equaliser Against Man City
Chelsea may still hold a special place in the heart of Mateo Kovacic, with the Manchester City star appearing to celebrate a goal from Cole Palmer.
During the summer, the Croatian international midfielder left Stamford Bridge after five years, moving to the North West of England instead of west London. With nearly 200 games and a Champions League victory, Kovacic has achieved great success in a different shade of blue.

At this point, Kovacic’s colours should be firmly tied to City’s mast as the 29-year-old looks to support Pep Guardiola‘s team in their Premier League championship defence. But on Sunday, during a surprise visit back to the Bridge, he was observed reacting in an unexpected way to a dramatic late goal.

Kovacic may have been just psyching himself up for the remaining time on the clock, but it is hard to know what was going through his head at that point without hearing from him directly. But his acts are interpreted by Chelsea supporters as a sign that he will always be a Chelsea supporter.
