Salah’s Successor? Liverpool Shows Interest In Dortmund Star
The England giant, Liverpool are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund’s Dutch winger Donyell Malen, with Jurgen Klopp impressed with his recent form.
Sport Bild reports that Klopp views the Dutchman as a possible Mohamed Salah replacement. Dortmund may demand at least €60 million (£52 million/$63 million) for the forward to repay their investment. The Bundesliga’s top teams replaced Jadon Sancho, who they lost to Manchester United in the summer of 2021, with Malen for €30 million (£26 million/$32 million).

The Dutchman’s first season in the Bundesliga wasn’t very impressive. Malen did, however, advance the next season, scoring nine goals, and he has already scored four goals this year. If Salah decides to quit the team in the summer of 2024, Liverpool would probably only sign the winger.
Malen will play Hoffenheim on Friday and hopes to build on his great start to the season. Tottenham will play Liverpool this weekend in the Premier League.
