Notably, the bandits confined their abductions solely to the university students, sparing the village residents from their terrifying onslaught, reports say.

Incidentally, there were no words coming from either the university authorities nor the police, so it was not clear exactly how many students had been kidnapped.

Going by the sheer number of the kidnappers and the fact that they took everyone unawares, it is feared that quite a reasonable number of students had been taken away.

This is the fourth time that such was happening in the school.
