Chelsea Set To Back Maresca By Splashing Out £113m On Osimhen

Chelsea will reportedly break the bank to sign Victor Osimhen and three other players to support Enzo Maresca despite financial complexities.

In order to support Maresca’s ambitious objectives and finance future recruits, the club must comply with Profit and Sustainability regulations, which means selling players before the June 30 deadline. With a purported five-year deal already in place, the current Leicester City manager is anticipated to be officially announced as Chelsea’s new manager this week.

The Sun claims that Chelsea has renewed its interest in Osimhen, who is anticipated to depart Napoli this summer and has a £113 million ($143.49 million) release clause. Despite without formally expressing their interest, they have been following Osimhen for years. Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, two Premier League rivals, are also keeping an eye on the striker. Osimhen, meanwhile, does not view Chelsea as a “priority” and is still open to other possibilities, which might make things more difficult for the Blues.
