The Naira today recorded a slight appreciation in value in exchange to the Dollar. On the average, it exchanged 1345.47 per Dollar during early morning operations at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM).
This is even as official focus was for a narrowing of the exchange rate of the national currency between the official and black market windows.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is the ultimate beneficiary of the kudos given its ongoing commitment to shoring up the value of the Naira.
A mix of fiscal and monetary policies has seen to the Naira being saved from a free fall in exchange to the Dollar.

It hovered between N1390 and N1405 in exchange to the Dollar, going by statistics obtained from the informal markets in major cities of the country, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Kano.
Trading in both the official and black market windows point to commendable intervention as being offered by the CBN.
