Excitement, Free Access, As President Tinubu Inaugurates Opebi-Mende Link Bridge

It is said that the journey of a thousand miles, begins with one step, even as the commissioning of the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge in Lagos eventually came to pass Wednesday.
The “4.52-kilometer-long Bridge now wears a complete new and beautiful look.
Constructed work by Julius Berger Nigeria PLC in conjunction with the Lagos State Government, under the Ministry of Works and Maintenance, started in the year 2022, and was finished in year 2025 for formal commissioning in April, 2926, by the Number One Citizen of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Commissioning event which was held at the centre of the newly constructed road had a host of dignitaries present.
They included the host Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Counterparts, Babagana Zulum of Borno State; Hope Uzodinma of Imo State; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and Senator Douye Diri of Bayelsa State.

Others present were the Local Government Chairmen; Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), Ikeja; Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan, Lagos Island; Moyosore Ogunlewe, Kosofe; and HRM Oba Oluwasegun Adeyemi Ajasa Olaside 1 of Onigbongbo Kingdom;

Tijani Fatai, Lagos Commissioner of Police; Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly; Abike Dabiri (Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), and a host of others also graced the event.
The Opebi-Mende Link Bridge connects roads like Opebi, directly to Mende, creating a new route designed to alleviate traffic congestion on major corridors like Allen Avenue, Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way, and Ojota.
