VIDEO: Wike Confronts Soldier In Uniform Over Land-Grabbing Allegation

Federal Capital Minister, Nyesom Wike was up to it today facing up to an unidentified soldier over land-grabbing incident.

Emotions ran high on the two sides, with a handful of Nigerians present to watch

The incident happened in the Gaduwa District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) where Wike could be heard asserting that no one, even in uniform was qualified to intimidate any other person.

He accused the officer, allegedly linked to a former Chief of Naval Staff of illegally taking possession of a parcel of land.

“Because you are an officer? Nobody does that. The man took land because he was the Chief of Naval Staff?” the FCT minister had said.

In his counter, the officer in a smart military camouflage, could be heart countering:

“I am an officer with integrity. Everything was acquired legally,”

Even when the FCT minister asked that he shut up, the soldier remained resolute.

“I will not shut up,” he stated

“You are a very big fool. As at the time I graduated, you were still in primary school”, Wike declared.

“You will see if you will not leave here. Go and develop there and let me see”, was Wike’s parting shot in the segment.

The confrontation has since moved online with social media users expressing divergent views, more applauding the young officer for daring to stand up to the FCT minister.
