Oriyomi Hamzat Hospitalised After Ibadan Stampede That Claimed 35 Children Lives

Oríyomi Hamzat, the founder of Agidigbo FM, has been in a critical condition after witnessing the tragic Ibadan stampede that took away about 35 children’s lives.

This tragedy event took place at Islamic High school, Bashorun in the course of a Christmas funfair organised by a former Queen of Ooni of Ile Ife, Olori Silekunola Naomi alongside 7 others in conjunction with Agidigbo FM as media partner.

According to reports, Hamzat was shaken by the imminence and magnitude of the stampede started and later collapsed.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

It was reported that he could cope with the shock of what happened and momentarily passed out.

Naomi too, who was the chief sponsor has been arrested with her co-sponsor even as investigation gets underway.

The Ibadan stampede has again brought to the fore, the need for additional precautions holding a masses’-oriented event, especially one that promises incentives in these hard times.
