‘There Is A Conspiracy To Allow Me Die In Prison’, that is Indigenous People of Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu’s latest allegation against the federal government.

He has thus pleaded with the authorities to take him to Kuje prison in Abuja, following the refusal of his bail application by the Federal high Court, Abuja.

The IPOB leader has been in detention by the Department of State Services (DSS), and he charges that the DSS lacked the wherewithal to take care of his health needs, alerting that it had been deteriorating.

There is a conspiracy to allow me die in prison, the Nnamdi Kanu’s latest allegation came from the dock while he was appearing before the court, bemoaning his continued detention by the federal government.

Kanu said he had been battling a very serious health condition that could not be handled in his present detention centre.

“People will come to see me; they will not allow them. They don’t have the medical facility. I have congestive heart failure; they are patching me up.

“My foot is swollen. I asked them to conduct surgery, and they said they couldn’t.

“There is a conspiracy for me to die in detention. I want to be transferred to Kuje,” he told the court.

According to him, the DSS lacked the medical facilities required for his treatment, a heart, a situation he said had started manifesting in his physical appearance, especially his feet.

Another thing he complained about is denial to see visitors coming to see him.

Nnamdi Kanu’ latest protest is against the background of refusal to grant him bail.

He is facing trial over a seven-count charge of treasonable felony preferred against him by the Federal Government, spoke after his bail application was denied by trial Justice, Binta Nyako,

His hopes for freedom soared after e Court of Appeal quashed the charge of treasonable felony preferred against him and ordered his immediate release from detention.

However, there was a twist to the case after the Supreme Court vacated the judgement and ordered the resumption of his trial.
