Bellingham & Greenwood Broke ‘Unwritten Law’ In La Liga 

Jude Bellingham and Mason Greenwood have breached a “unwritten law,” as Getafe has initiated an uncommon conflict with Real Madrid in La Liga.

During a Spanish top-flight fixture on February 1, Los Blancos midfielder Bellingham found himself in direct competition with fellow England international Greenwood. Following one full-blooded challenge between the pair, Bellingham was caught on camera mouthing something in the direction of his domestic rival.

Getafe requested that the disputed incident be included in the match referee’s report when reporting the incident to La Liga. Since then, lip-readers have been hired in an attempt to pinpoint exactly what was said. There is uncertainty about whether Bellingham mumbled the words “rapist” or “rubbish,” and the 20-year-old faces a four-match suspension.

According to Marca, Bellingham will not discover his fate until some point in March. The episode has, however, raised eyebrows in Spain. There is said to be an “unwritten law” in La Liga that sees teams accept that no action will be taken on events not picked up by the match officials – if something sails under the radar, then so be it.

The goal of this agreement is to guarantee that whatever occurs on the pitch, stays there. Greenwood, who is now on loan from Manchester United to Getafe, is reportedly eager for everyone to forget about the alleged incident.
