We have entered a peculiar season of the year – the yuletide -and there are important personal and family safety tips you need to observe this Yuletide.

It is one period in the year when criminals of different moulds seek to unleash their wicked acts on unsuspecting members of the public. You will not let them, and one way not to do so is by hearkening to these personal and family safety tips.

They have been prepared reclining on past experiences and accounts of victims overtime. The idea is to have you spend your Christmas and New Year in one piece.

8. Stay awake and alert when using public transportation.

10. Let go if your bag is snatched.

11. When traveling, dress casually, dress down.

1. Do not discuss your business or travel plans in public areas, where they may be overhead.

Discuss your travel plans and movements during your stay with as few people as possible on a need-to-know basis.

2. Selecting a hotel room on the 3rd to 5th floor generally will keep you out of reach of criminal activities from the streets but still within reach of fire truck ladders (in line with your medical condition,).

3. Do not entertain strangers in your hotel room.

4. Never leave valuables in your hotel room exposed.

5.Familiarise your self with escape  routes in case of emergencies.

1.Trach children never to admit strangers into the house

2. Caution teenagers about “blind dates” or meeting anyone they do not know.

3. Teach children how to say no to strangers
