Argentina Boss Gives Brutal Reason For Not Calling Up Garnacho
Alejandro Garnacho was left off of the Argentina squad for the forthcoming international matches; Lionel Scaloni explains why.
The Manchester United winger was left off the list when the national team’s lineup was made public last week. Instead, former United winger Angel di Maria is preferred; Paulo Dybala has also recovered from his injury and is back in the team. Scaloni has finally revealed the real reason for Garnacho’s absence, citing poor form as the primary factor.

Erik ten Hag will likely be relieved that Garnacho is not playing for Argentina given the frequency of injuries this season for the Red Devils. When fit, Garnacho is one of United’s most potent forwards. He is likely to be playing with Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund in a front three going forward.
Scaloni told reporters: “Ale’s non-call-up is due to a form issue. During the last calls, he did not have minutes and we have to think about the human aspect as well too. He’s on our radar and will be part of our plans.”
Garnacho will have time to work with Ten Hag on his deficiencies as he looks to cement his place in the Dutchman’s future plans, since the international break is currently underway.
