Liverpool Set To Capitalise On Real Madrid Uncertainty To Reignite Kylian Mbappe Pursuit

The hunt to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain has been linked to Liverpool following Real Madrid’s withdrawal.

According to reports, Real has decided not to pursue Mbappe when he becomes available on a free transfer in the summer. Despite their repeated attempts, they don’t think they can get the France international because of his existing contract and contractual obligations.

Mbappe wants as much as €35 million (£30.5m/$38m) per year after taxes, according to a recent AS report via Sport Witness. That works out to a weekly salary of £586,000 ($728,000). His signing-on fee would also be approximately €100 million (£87 million/$108 million). Even last summer, there were rumours of a transfer including Liverpool.

Mbappe has been a Real Madrid supporter since he was a young child, and a well-known photo of the striker from his youth depicts him in his bedroom surrounded by posters of Cristiano Ronaldo. Even though it was inevitable that he would eventually move to Spain, a move to England is now also possible.

Mbappe will probably play when France plays Greece and Gibraltar during the international break. On November 24, he will play his next game for PSG against Monaco.
