Is Bukayo Saka An Injury Concern For Arsenal?

Published

Bukayo Saka is reportedly nursing a knock that continues to offer Arsenal cause for concern on the injury front.

Since making the transition to the senior team, the 22-year-old winger has been a model of reliability for the Gunners and infrequently misses games due to injuries. He has made 184 appearances for the North London team and has only missed two club games as a result of fitness issues.

Saka, according to The Daily Mail, is still reportedly dealing with an Achilles ailment that plagued him throughout the 2022–23 season. He was able to deal with it and continue to play despite the discomfort, but Arsenal would prefer to have him performing at 100 per cent.

It has been suggested that Saka was left out of England’s starting lineup for a friendly match against Scotland because he occasionally needs a break. In that game at Hampden Park, he did make an appearance off the bench, although little risk was taken with him.

Mikel Arteta’s team is getting ready to return to Premier League action on Sunday when they go to Everton, so Arsenal will be hoping that the problem can be remedied without the need for surgery or a period of rest.
