Anytime you are billed for a reportorial assignment at TREM King’s Court Ojodu Lagos, expect something new.

For truly, that branch of the Redeemed Evangelical Mission under-shepherded by Revd Roland Jibiri, has now carved a unique niche for itself.

This was fully exemplified in the Sunday service wrapping up its “2023 prophetic conference”, at which Revd Okey Omezi was guest minister.

Access points to the premises had been manned by charming ushers, and there couldn’t have been a better way of welcoming guests than the generous offer of sweets in their baskets for each visitor’s picking.

The pre-praise session was laden with encouraging lines speaking of the mercies of God, expressive calisthenics from the youths, and “I am your delight” refrains among the presentations.

The choir as observed by the host minister himself were equally a delight in their uniform.

Using the scripture at Luke 4:44, Revd  Jibiri declared that it was going to be a great day and that everything would be by the power of the Spirit.

“This morning, I have a witness in my spirit; you can take my word to the bank, your life will not be the same again”, he admonished the congregation, before bringing on, the guest minister, whom he said had been very impactful in “everything I was, everything I am, and everything I am going to become”.

He described Revd Omezi as a good man, anointed, intelligent, in the spirit, an organiser”, a specially gifted instrument in the hands of God, who has raised many sons.

With that, he ushered Revd Omezi to the pulpit.

Equally acknowledging his host, members of TREM King’s Court Ojodu, whom he said had been supportive in making their church loved, the guest minister said that Revd Ewere’s constant reference to him as a good father is just one side of the story.

“You will be hearing good father, good father, do you know you cannot have a good father without a good son?”, and there was affirmative claps by the congregation.

With that, he described the pastor as a good son, and his wife as a good daughter, affirming Revd Jibiri as one of the choicest men of God in the ministry.

Revd Omezi added that his host’s resourcefulness while under him was the reason he was very reluctant to release him from his zone until God twisted his hands, and he had to let go.

“Since he left my church, I have not seen a replacement, I have not seen a person that carries ministry the way he carries it” Revd Omezi added still talking about his host. He also recalled amongst others, that within six months, even as a youth brother, then Brother Roland Jibiri grew two cell centres to 14., and that some of the people he raised had in the current,  become pastors.

Going into the day’s ministration, Revd Omezi cited Ecl 9:11-12, and Is 45, declaring that God would cause the right time and the right place to happen to the congregation. He also shared how, earlier in ministry, a single incident that happened to him totally changed the course of his life for the better.

He charged the congregation therefore to always align whenever a prophetic word is released, as according to him, with the prophetic word, “God is not saying what He wants to do, but what He has already done”.

At every point of his ministration, the man was dropping nuggets of life: effective christian living, good stewardship and more. These kept the congregation scripting down on their jotters and nodding in affirmation. A highlight of the service was the personal anointing of the entire congregation, by Revd Omezi.

Revd Ewere also used the opportunity to express excitement on his upcoming mega programme for 2023, – one million souls for Jesus.

He described it as a community movement, which would see him liaising with other TREM branches in mobilising more following for the project.

“I have come to the realisation that the money we need for ministry is available”, he says, adding that no matter how grand an evangelism-related project or an idea, that once it has God’s backing, it would succeed”, he declared with an air of total agreement.
