IGP observed that the suspension is also anticipated to enable an enabling atmosphere for required legal procedures to uphold justice in the case without interference in a statement signed by CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the force PRO.
The constitutional presumption of innocence in favour of the officer is not affected by the suspension.
Meanwhile, the IGP has underlined the Force‘s commitment to upholding the law, assuring the public of his administration’s determination to see that justice is not only served in this case but is also clearly perceived to have been served.
Therefore, he makes an appeal to the general public to maintain calm since everything is being done to ensure that justice is served while also taking steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.
