Ogun NNP Chairman -Good, it is said, begets another good. This statement was demonstrated in a unique Manner last Sunday, when the Ogun State chairman of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) , Sunday Oginni Olaposi, received the award of Journalist-Most-Friendly-Politician Of The Year.
The award, which was presented at Abeokuta, was part of the 2022 edition of Day to end impunity, with the theme: Safety Of The Press, Before, During And After.
Amidst all the congratulations and celebrations, Oginni dedicated the award to the state’s gubernatorial candidate of the party, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo.

He used the opportunity to condemn the way that political office holders disregard journalists, saying this should not be so
“I want to say the disregard of political office holders for journalists is uncalled for, it’s appalling because every celebrity is a product of journalism.
“There is no any celebrity in Nigeria that is not the media that produce that celebrity. Some people may not have the opportunity in their daytime to ever see Obasanjo or Buhari or Kwankwasu. But they will start to see them on television as a result of journalism.”
