Why Messi Could Return To Barca – Iniesta

Lionel Messi may one day return to Barcelona, according to Andres Iniesta, who still rates the Argentine as the finest player in the world.

The Spanish icon predicted Messi will play for Barcelona again in the future and supported him to lead Argentina to the World Cup title in Qatar.

Iniesta remarked of Messi in a statement to TYC Sports: “The Messi of now and the one of before is different from everyone. He is the top person. He has only changed himself, made himself better, and helped his colleagues. Messi is a key player for any side looking to win games and championships. He does things that I’ve never seen anyone else do.

“Going back to Barcelona is never easy, but Leo can come back, it’s still a possibility.”

He added: “Argentina is one of the candidates for the World Cup. They have a great team, with experienced and young players. They are in a great moment. If Messi is there, of course, he is one of the favourites. Other favourite teams are Brazil, Spain and France. If Leo wins the World Cup, I’m happy as a teammate.”

Next up for Messi will be Saturday’s Ligue 1 match between PSG and Troyes.
