The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asserts that its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will uphold the rule of law and not disregard court rulings if elected in the general elections of next year.

According to Kola Ologbondiyan, the spokesperson for the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Organization, Atiku’s political trajectory has a lot to do with obeying court decisions. Whether or whether court decisions benefitted his administration, if he were elected president, his administration would stop at nothing to promote the rule of law.

“Atiku Abubakar is a symbol of the rule of law. He fought all his battles through the courts. When a man of his stature explored the law courts on all issues that concerned him, you can be sure that when he is sworn in on May 29, 2023 as the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, he will stand on the side of the law.

“Atiku will also work with the National Assembly and the judiciary to improve on our jurisprudence,” he said.
