How Much Nigerians Import Phones - ITC

According to information from the International Trade Center (ITC), Nigeria spent $2.35 billion on telephone imports over a three-year period.

The country imported phone sets for $807.95 million in 2019, $765.57 million in 2020, and $772.25 million in 2021, according to the ITC, an international organization that focuses on trade.

The report stated that among the imported telephone equipment were: cellphones, teleprinters, facsimile machines for line telephony, and more.

 

The report showed that China ($1.71 billion during the time under review) supplied the majority of the phone sets entering the nation.

The country also imports goods from other countries like Mexico, Hong Kong, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United States, Hong Kong, and others.
