According to the Official Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) forex trading session, Dollar to Naira exchange rate today, 9th of August is set at N418.47/$1.
At the official Investors and Exporters trading window (FMDQ), Naira was exchanged at N431.00 to $1 – as against the previous exchange session which ended at N428.12/$1. This indicates a 0.67 percent decrease in the local currency’s value against its counterpart.

The unregulated forex trading segment otherwise known as the black market has also witnessed a surge since the last trading session. As against N658/$1, Naira is currently exchanged at N668.43/$1.
The crypto world on the other hand has witnessed both bearish and bullish value amongst the currencies in the past 24 hours.
Bitcoin (BTC) takes on the lead on a bullish stand, recording a 0.02 percent decline in value to be sold at $23, 8347,07, Ethereum (ETH) follows through with a solid 2.58 percent increase in value to be exchanged at $1779,52, while Binance (BNB) takes on a bearish stand to be sold $325.47 with a 0.57 percent decline.
