Covid-19 : GOFF Distributes Food Items To Makoko Community

Gabriel Olusoji Farombi Foundation (GOFF), a non governmental organisation has joined in providing vulnerable nigerians palliative in the wake of Covid-19.

This it did by distributing food items to residents in Makoko community, in Lagos State.

According to GOFF Chairman, Deacon Tunde Odumosu,  giving out the relief materials during this pandemic period was the starting point of fulfilling the mission of the foundation which

 primary purpose is to care and provide reasonable support to the plight of the less privileged, widows and orphans through education and health services.

Odumosu who expressed joy that the palliatives met the yearning of the beneficiaries, explained that GOFF was set up in honour of General Overseer emeritus of Foursquare Gospel Church, Rev. (Dr) Gabriel Olusoji Farombi.

He stated further, “the idea of reaching out to Makoko community was conceived because the mission work in the community started when Rev (Dr) Farombi was in saddle of the organization and in line with the mission statement of GOFF to reach out to the less privileged.

Secretary of GOFF board of trustees, Pastor (Mrs) Adorable Ojo expressed optimism that the little seed sown by the Foundation would grow to become great investment in future,  to reach out to the less privileged.

 Receiving the relief materials, Makoko community pastor of Foursquare Gospel Church, Deacon Aderemi Fatade,thanked Rev (Dr) Farombi for the relief materials.

He said, “This gesture is really appreciated, very good. Baba Farombi, as we fondly call him, Go On with Foursquare (GOF), has done well. God will bless him”.

Relief package consisting of food items were distributed to families, the elderly, less privileged and physically challenged in the community.

Some of the residents interviewed expressed gratitude to the Foundation. One of the beneficiaries, Mr Frank Eboh said, “Today is remarkable. During this pandemic, most of us that are physically challenged are hard hit. With this package, we have been blessed”.
