LOCKDOWN UPDATES: Thieves On The Rampage, Prices Hit Rooftops

As noble at the stay-at-home directive to stem further spread of the coronavirus, it is equally biting harsh and hard on the people.

Hmm for the first few days of d lockdown everywhere in my neighborhood, Adura side of Jankara was quiet, shops and stores under lock, but now, some street traders have started opening their shops gradually by displaying some of their wares outside while still keeping the shops locked.

As as today, most of them are already opening their main stores thereby disobeying the simple law of stay at home

That is not all, in the area of crime, there is cause for concern. Following the lockdown, some thieves have been nabbed. An angry mob beat them up. We even heard they killed three

The lockdown actually led to constant robbing of houses and this was what made the people to react that way.

Now, house owners and the vigilantes are even more alert all nights since the incident happened. All along, money, phones, systems were being regularly stolen

In terms of standard of living, the prices of items have since increased, and these foodstuffs/provisions majorly like pepper, even pure water now sells for from N120 to N150 2and sometimes N200 a bag of twenty pieces.
