How Is Lockdown Affecting You, Your Area, Please Let Us Know

The lockdown itself is a source of worry and concern, but two days ago, something transpired between me and a lady which I am yet to come over.

I am yet to come over it because as at the time, I was not in a position to rise to the occasion of her need.

I had put a question across to her to find out how the lockdown was affecting that neigbourhood. In her usual character, she accepted the challenge to feed me back on situation report, but  next” “Please sir, can I get something from you; there is nothing in the house for me to eat and there is nobody around here to ask…”

I remember also a week earlier, someone had dropped a few lines online asking people who needed urgent assistance, no matter how minimal to indicate; the quick and prompt response was overwhelming, even from people you never envisaged would latch unto the opportunity whether it was one.

I just took a short stroll this morning around my neigbourhood, about a little after 5am; I was amazed at the number of bike riders already trying to obtain early morning patrons and quite at a great risk. For since they did not know who was who, they kept hovering while subtly shouting out destinations.

Of course, one got four adult passengers on his bike and I presumed it must have been for an inflated charge.

A neigbour of mine who normally barbed at weekends forgot that the lockdown was closing in, and did not go to the salon early enough. By the time he woke up in the morning, his face and chin area was literally on fire, the way it normally happens to him when he does not shave on time.

He was lamenting and wondering how he was going to cope, having checked out all the barbing spots in the neighbourhoods and they were under lock and key.

Razors and self-applied shavers do not touch his skin otherwise, pimples would just take over.

Certainly, there are other dimensions of the impact of these lockdown now pounding the people.

Could you please oblige us, and share your experiences.

Perhaps, it would assist our government and law enforcement agencies in making the righg policies and rules. Thank you.
