Do You Know Why This Beautiful Beach Is Called ‘Tribulation’?

When you mention beaches generally, the mind would naturally picture a resort of peace, a place of relaxation and recreation.

On the other hand, the tribulation, especially as a religious parlance connotes suffering, travails and all associated with pain.

Ironically, a resort combines these two extremes in one.

It is the Cape Tribulation,  a resort in the Queensland area of Australia.

Why then should a beach carry such a scary nomenclature? It is famous but for the wrong reasons, in the sense that anyone who desires real relaxation and choses here, may have made a terrible error.

Reason is simple: the located on the northern point of Queensland is home to venomous snakes, crocodiles and exceedingly poisonous box jellyfish,.

What is more? It is home to singing trees, and giant scary birds.

These scary birds called cassowaries look like emus or ostriches, and could grow to over 160 pounds.

They could be very aggressive and a threat, not only to any holiday but life itself.

Cassowaries are listed as Class II wildlife in Florida, owing to the risk that they pose. This means an owner must satisfy a number of tests and acquire a special permit from the local authorities to legally keep them.

In fact, the story made the rounds last year, of a 75-year-old Florida, USA man who was attacked by Cassowaries that he rearing. His injuries were so severe that he later died in hospital..
