28 Year Old Man Nabbed For Allegedly Defiling Minor

A 28 year old man, identified as Thyger Stephen has received the beating of his life over allegedly defiling a minor aged 8.

A reliable source told The Eagle that the incident happened in a neigbourhood in Gboko, in Benue State.

Our correspondent was told that Stephen started living with the victim’s family about 6 months ago and was,  most times entrusted with taking care of the girl once her parents left for their respective places of business.

But on this particular day, she decided to waylay the girl as she was returning from an errand for her mother.

Narrating the sordid experience, the distraught mother said the girl had returned to drop the items she had been sent for and left again without notifying her mother.

After waiting for some time and not seeing the girl, the mother became worried  and began searching for her. She called out her name repeatedly without any response.

An instinct told her to check behind the house where they have an uncompleted building.

She was shocked beyond words to find her daughter on the ground her pants pulled down and Stephen on top of her.

She began to raise an alarm that attracted the neigbours.

Our source said neigbours immediately responded and descended on Stephen.

Our corespondent learnt that he was dragged outside the house and beaten with different objects.

Stephen claimed it was the handiwork of the devil and began to beg to be forgiven.

The father of the girl. one Mr Ahua Michael would have none of that and reported the matter promptly to the police.

The police came to take Stephen away while the girl was taken to hospital for medical attention.
