Mr P Of Psquare Hails Ambode For One Lagos Fiesta

By CAMI EZENWA

Mr Peter

Mr Peter of the P.Square music fame, has lauded the governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Akinwunmi Ambode for organising the One Lagos Fiesta, saying he had thrown a bid challenge to other governors in the state.

Peter, who literally lit up the atmosphere with his electrifying performances at the event, took time out to speak with our correspondents exclusively, saying that nothing could be compared with the Lagos fiesta in terms of impact.
According to him, the difference with the One Lagos fiesta is that it holds at different locations across the state, thereby giving more music fans the opportunity to attend the venue closest to them.

Peter said therefore that Ambode deserved kudos for the fiesta which he said had been able to unite Nigerians, while creating opportunity for music lovers to enjoy themselves during the yuletide.

He therefore appealed to the incoming governor in the state to sustain the fiesta as a way of keeping Lagosians happy.

In his words: “Last year was my first time, and this year as they called me, I told them I can’t disappoint them, not just for the governor alone. This is one of the best events that the governor of Lagos is doing to show love to the people of Lagos this festive period.  I really appreciate the opportunity.

And so far so good, I have been to Epe, Agege, Ikorodu, Agege and today we are here. And I am loving it”..

Responding to the question as to whether the fiesta is a challenge to other state governors to host similar shows, the famous entertainer responded:

“I will say, over-challenge to them. We know Calabar carnival, but it usually holds in one place, but in the case of the One Lagos Fiesta, it is held at different locations. Lagos state government is really working. Tomorrow it is still happening here. And I watch it online and on television

“Initially, I was arguing with my manager whether the event was really holding daily, but personally, I have watched it online, and on television.

I can see many upcoming artistes here, super stars and fans and they are all happy, and thanking the governor for hosting the show. I will advise the next governor of the state to continue the programme”.

Peter also addressed his fans in terms of when next he is bringing out an album, saying: “First thing I should tell them is to be patient for now. We are entering the New Year, and January and February the focus will be on election. So I would like to give a break. Any artiste should know that within the period, the focus would be on election.

So, to my fans, what I want to tell them is to be patient. I wanna take my time before doing what I need to do”, he said.
